My idle has started to change while idling.

2005 1150 twin spark
26k miles
valves clearances checked, throttle bodies done via manometer.
surging at higher loads now. Will accelerate nicely upto ~75% throttle over this it surges more so than it did in the past
y-piece, remus

When the bike is warm sitting at lights the bike idles at 1100 nicely but now and again stutters and the revs drop to 800 - 900 rpm for a second or so then recover. Happens every 10 seconds or so. The revs only ever drop not increase over 1100.

Pulled off the bottom plug caps the bike idles a lot slower 800rpm all the time....is this normal or a signal of a weak spark?

Other than unplugging the lambda and seeing if that helps diagnose a faulty probe any ideas?

When at the traffic lights do you have your hand/foot in the brake?

Revs might drop when the servo's kick in from time to time.

I've got servo's on my RT. I'll be sure to check on the way home. Hopefully I'm not talking through my chuff.

Chuff speaking before brain thinking. I thought all the late GS's had servos.

Only the ABS bikes had servo brakes. Mine used to before I pulled it out so I'll let you get away with it :D

I'd be thinking a stick coil going a bit squiffy

Does it hesistate heavily when you go for a full load pass ?????

Yep, full load pass does make it hesistate. Anything full power in any gear other than 1 or 2 will make it bog down.

I'll think about some stick coils I've got a spare (old and second hand) I'll play around with to see if that helps.

I have similar problem but my GS is a single spark model. I can ride whole revs counter without any problems. TBS regulated.
