I've got 2 Touratech foglights to use as daytime running lights on my 08 1200GS. I've fitted them, mounted switch, relay, fuse etc etc so no problems but just one question.

I'm patching into the dip beam wire inside the headlight and to back up any voltmeter tests can anyone please advise which colour wire I should connect too. I have searched other threads but it is not clear to me.

Many thanks !

Brown is the common ground on the BMW loom so go with the other wire on the dip beam connection. I think its yellow or white but can't remember for certain.

if you look at the main beam side as well - you will find that one wire is the same colour both sides - that will be the negative wire and from Thunder's post is probably Brown.

The other wire is the positive and the one you need to tap.

Also matching Thunder's post I think that the main and dip are on white and yellow - but not sure which way around they actually are.
