Sorry stopped until checked or modified unless they are the very newest coming from the factory which have been built with modified forks.

Allegedly but they are staying tight lipped as to what they might be

I collected mine last Friday. I've been told mine has been checked and passed but no mods done.

I thought they were unstoppable ?

wonder if the mods could open a Fork Stanchion section and keep all the threads in there .....there is that many of them all saying the same thing now

I have had a few issues with my bike but I am glad for once the forks is not. My bike was built sept 2013. So yippee kayay mother fuckers, it don't affect me!

They are I hit a deer on mine a couple of months ago and thought it was going result in an off, but no the good old GSA ploughed straight through it and it didnt even damage the fork tubes.

Had my first service yesterday (R1200 GS TE 2016) and made the point of mentioning this recall. Didn't expect them to find anything. They (Cotswold Motorrad - fancy new location/site btw!) at first said they hadn't heard about the recall and then said all parts were on back order. Anyway, took her in at 9am. By 11 I was wondering why the long wait. Turns out they found one of the forks had moved so replaced the necessary under warranty (along with sticky left switch gear as requested by me). Surprised me as I thought there'd be a long wait for parts. Very pleased with their service team and to know that I'm safe to ride and don't need to worry about this recall.

Interesting, glad you got sorted but i'd be worried when a franchise dealer keeps changing their story - not very re assuring, "at first said they hadn't heard about the recall and then said all parts were on back order" next "at first said they hadn't heard about the recall and then said all parts were on back order" they actually have the parts.

Unfortunately it was a bit dead, quite a scary experience too, I think what saved me was it happened so fast and I didn't have a chance to hit the brakes I was still on the throttle

Hopefully an experience never to be repeated.

I'm assuming that was around 6000 miles - not the initial 600 mile service? Still seems a worryingly low mileage for this problem to be developing. Have you been off road much or at all?

Got a letter from Vines this morning about the recall, phoned them and bike is booked in for early August to be done whilst I wait. Advised to allow two hours.
