Hello all,

I would like to set up my own Forum ( much like this one, but no t as huge as this one!) for my hobby.
What software tools are required and do I need a server?
How much is the upkeep going to cost me?

I use invision as its free and works really well.

You need a server and an address which should cost 35£ a year with www.webmania.com then you need to upload the invision software and sort out your forums and threads.

Beware if it is a big forum you'll have to worry about bandwidth. But if you only have a couple of hundred members and keep the image sizes small it shouldnot be a problem.
