Front brake line

Whilst giving the bike a good going over with ACF50 tonight i noticed that the front brake line clip fitting behind the front suspension was loose, was worried but on atempting to tighten it the bugger is really tight so just want to check its supposed to be like this. It makes sense to allow for the hose to move when turning the wheel me thinks.

Also when you sit on the bike and looking down in the forks to the back right there is a connection that doesnt look covered what would this be for? Will get a pic tomorrow if that helps.

Can't speak from a technical, authorative active point of view, but mine is the same. As was the fitting on my 2008 bike. Seems to make sense when you look at the suspension travel and the localised flexing point on the brake line that would occur if the clip was rigid at that point.

Combined wisdom is the redundant connector is for a fuel vapour recovery system that is required by law in the US. It is not required in the UK/EU so is not fitted but the electrics are still there.

I taped mine up in a plastic bag as it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Yeps sounds like a plan covering it up hate seeing connections like that open to the elements..

A proper blanking cap or self amalgamating tape will avoid condensation problems.
