Front Brake switch bodge

Almost at the end of a long trip and the front brake switch has started playing up. Firstly it didn't cycle servo once in awhile when starting. Needed a knock but then triggered switch and set Servo brakes working. Now won't make the switch trigger at all so riding with no servo (which I've sort of got used to but prefer it either on or off).
So Ive disconnected the connector and it still doesn't trigger so I'm guessing the switch is NO (normally open).
So as my ride won't include many stops for the last 2 days I'm thinking of disconnecting switch, make connection with paper clip to cycle servo activation then plug back in and ride?
Any thought?
Any flaws in my logic before I short the whole system!
Once triggered/cycled the servo has worked fine 100% of the time (so far). Just no front brake light activation.
 
Take the switch from the clutch, it should be the same switch. Does mean you will have to start the bike in neutral.
 
The switch is indeed normally open. If you've got the correct size Allen key, try loosening (not removing) the grub screw that holds the switch in and repositioning it very slightly. You'll know when it#'s correctly positioned because you'll hear it click when you pull the brake lever. It needs doing with care as the brake lever starts pressurising the hydraulic circuit and the switch starts the servo so you need the switch to click just as the lever starts to push the piston in the master cylinder.
 
Don't undo the grub screw too far as it is tiny and very easy to lose!

Took the switch off and found someone with a continuity tester and the switch works fine - creates a circuit when switched.
So more fiddling and it looks like it the cable connector that plugs into the switch that is at fault. If I replicate the switch operating with a bit of wire, it only triggers the servo cycle if I push the wire ends quite a way into the cable plug. This is a sealed cable that goes back round into the handlebar wiring loom so therefore not designed to be replaced.
Any ideas to get me home with working servo?
Only work around I have a moment is leave cable connector disconnected and trigger with a long bit of wire each time I start but not ideal.
 
The bike will work fine without the servo. When you get home strip the wires back and fit some new connectors to the switch.

Yep - got used to it after a few days. Then when I got to the comfort of my own garage, I stripped it all apart, took switch completely apart, cleaned, oiled, replaced and all seems ok now - fingers crossed.
