Anyone know whats in the BMW front caliper repair kit ?

Is it seals for one or two calipers ? At 30 odd quid I hope its for both.

The problem : front brakes not holding pressure, I have pressure bled the system, but leave it for a minute and the lever goes soft, four pumps and release bleed nipple and a small stream off bubbles can be seen, so I suspect the seals have gone.

I could be wrong, but I thought the caliper repair kits included the pistons - which would usually mean (with bike prices!) to be per caliper.

That would explain the price at over £30 a set, never heard of a kit for two calipers seeing as all three would use the same parts.

Do you mean calipers or master cylinder ?

Sounds like m/c to me.

If you've got rubber brake hose do the clamp test .

Using proper pipe clamps - or mole grips adjusted to just squash not to compress rubber - clamp the brake pipe and see what happens.

if you get a solid lever - its the calipers
if you get the same soft lever - its the m/c
