Front casing refurb.

So there are two different timing covers on the 04-12 1200 - what year did they delete the bearing in the cover for the camshaft sprocket ?

So it's now finished, crash bars back on after being powder coated.

I can see some imperfections, but on the whole happy.

For a 17 year old bike it looks great, now I need to get out and ride it

Can I ask if you bought a specific stainless bolt set and what grade of stainless it was? I did mine few years back and simple spray painted the bolts as well as the cover in situ. All other bolts like on rear brake and bolts in the area i removed and painted. I then finished off with XCP and it was still looking good even up on our salty roads.

polishing up the down pipes takes ages but is very rewarding and they come up a treat.

looks great by the way.

Been watching this thread with interest as I have some paint loss from the engine block on my R9T where it meets the front cover as per the attached photo. Once lightly flatted what would you guys suggest I prime it with and which touch up paint to use. Don't want it to turn into a bigger job and want to contain the repair to a small area. Any advice welcome. thanks.
