Has anyone got any phone numbers that are dealing with this, mines a March '06 but is a personel import from the fartherland so might be missed by the recall if it needs it

I managed to get my money back from my local BMW dealer in UK on my return home from my trip abroad last month only after making a complaint to them about my breakdown in France and that I had to pay for the repairs done by a french BMW dealer.

Has anyone noticed a change in fuel consumption? Can't be absolutely certain but I have a feeling mine has increased ...

I have defo but I put it down to the fact that I have just had my 6k service
and more vibes too Does the cooler weather have an effect on the consumption?

Sounds like there doing a software update as well, I thought the fuel pump controller just varied the amount the pump kicks out and the ECU governs that. Might have to stick with my old one after all as theres no way I want a software update

Is the part No the same on the old FPC as the new??
I read about the different colours of the original unit, what is the colour of the new one?
Can anyone give the Vin No range of the affected bikes.

Yep anyone got or can get hold of a VIN number range, would help me and my import
Well had mine changed at Benhams in Wolverhampton on Saturday. Hired trailer, re fitted the knackered one(broke in Italy this year), thought I just try it and bugger me it started!!!! Must have dried out in the garage, anyway still used the trailer just in case it failed again en route so now have new one fitted and another one as spare.

In response to the FPC recall in Ireland. Kearys changed mine Yesterday (March 07 GS). BMW had not contacted me so I rang the shop. I have had trouble with it for over a year and a half (splutter and stop them go again) but as it had not totally failed, the fault did not show up in the diagnostics and so BMW would not change it. Sorted now, thanks (in a large part) to UKGSer’s

Can anyone say why a March 07 GS gets recalled but a March 07 RT does not? Surely when they were built, the parts would have come from the same parts bin???
I have just sold my April 06 GS, which wasn't recalled and bought an 07 RT and according to BMW it does not need done???

Cooler weather will make the engine more efficient rather than less, as the air charge is denser. So yes is the answer, only in the opposite direction.

For anyone who hasn't yet seen one here is mine. Not had a problem with the old FPC yet, going into those nice chaps at Bahnstormer on Monday. They say they will only need it for 1/2 hour. Long enough for a coffee biccy and oggle at the stock then
I've received a letter from NOG today regarding a "product enhancement", citing "Enhancement Number 0000611000" on my '08 GSA - but no mention of what the actual enhancment is, or what it actually addresses.
Anyone know if this is FPC related??

apparently my letter pertains to some alternator related capacitor retrofit campaign or something similar....
