fuel pump recall

Could anybody advise me on this I left a 2010 gsa in for a fuel pump housing recall.It didn't need replacing just clips and on the invoice I noticed later they charged 42 euro to remove & install fuel pump unit is this normal to pay on a recall cheers mark.

I wasn't charged when my was done, it is a safety related recall and should be free

In no way is that correct!! If it was a recall, parts and labour are all covered 100% by BMW, ive had 2 GS's get this recall done and all was FOC, I even have a mate who needed a fuel pump and that was even done completely FOC

Thanks for replies maybe I jumped the gun they put a new fuel level sensor in the old one jacked up if so my mistake thanks mark.

Ah yeh, that's different, fitment wouldn't be a big deal for them while they are in there doing the recall but the calibration of the new sensor can take some time
