I have just identified that a faulty FPR is the reason my bike wouldn't start. I've done a bit of research and it appears that in some models in some countries thete has been a recall on this part but it's not exactly clear. Can anybody tell me if there has been a recall for this part in England or how would you go about finding out?

Yes there was a recal but I don't think it covered 08 on. It didn't cover my 09 which is the same bike. Best way to find out is to call your dealer with the vin number

Thank you for the advce. I've contacted Rainbow and they informed me that there is a recall on the fuel pump but its to provide a supporting ring of some sort, nothing to do with the relay/controller
Ive got to replace it, good job it's only £98

That is a different and current recall. There was a recall a year or 2 ago for the fuel pump controller. Maybe you confused them by calling it a relay. You are talking about the metal finned part that sits in the big circle on the tank with the pump bellow it? There are no relays that I know about for the fuel pump.
