just booked my 1200 in for it's 12000 mile service at CWs. it seems they are now replacing fuel pump controllers as a service item, only free 
not had any problem with mine, but it's going to be changed anyway.
amongst other titbits i didn't know, i was told that the connection on top of these units was updated late last year. also, RT rarely if ever give trouble due to the fairing keeping the unit dry.
