Probably come up before but a nice review of the GS1200 in' Ride' magazine at the moment and they recommend using 'Super Unleaded' fuel rather than standard leaded in these models (assume inc Adv) for better economy and performance? Has anyone any views or recomendations on this please? Thanks, Sam

sorry wrong thread
you probably wont get much out of 98 RON on a stock bike but if its 08-09 it will be more likely to use the extra octane with the extra compression. I think its a requirement on the 2010 to get the extra power. Manual states 95 so that's what I use. By the way using too high an octane fuel actually decreases performance on an engine that isn't meant to use it. Higher octane = less volatile = less power unless its tuned to a point where it needs the knock resistance then it = more power.
