[G650X] cam chain tensioner removal

Hello there.

I think my cam chain tensioner is not working properly (loud rattling noise during startup).

The problem is: how do I remove it? There is so little space in there. I've removed the bolts on the oil tank and wiggled it away, but it's still too tight:

Any idea?

Hi,
It can be done, I've done it myself but only just enough room.
You need to pull the oil tank back and twist it then you'll only just get enough room.

Thanks Bez, I've finally removed it. I needed to remove the head cover and push the cylinder from inside to outside, because is was not popping out on its own.

Now the question is: how can I determine if it's working correctly? Here are the pics of the thing:

I can press it with my fingers, doesn't seems to be stuck. There is a small "ball" inside the cylinder - do I need to press it and fill it with oil before remounting?
