I have the 60c - only difference is the electronic compass and altimeter (I think)
Robust bit of kit - quick and easy to use , good battery life and great screen (full colour) Fast USB connection - works well on the bike.
Down side - smaller memory than the Quest (60c/cs 56mb - Quest 256mb) and you need to buy the Mapsource software seperately (unless you have it already)
Quest is about the same price - has bigger memory and talks too ....and comes with the software.
Just sent my 60c back to Garmin under warranty becoz the zoom buttons have packed up but otherwise very good unit. In my letter to Garmin I said to them that if they need to replace the whole unit under warranty I would like to swap for a Quest even if I have to pay more.....kind of says it all I think

I have a 60CS - bought it a year ago over the internet from the States. Came with USA base data, but with Garmin Mapsource software it works fine for turn by turn navigation. I have the whole of Scotland and most of north England stored.
btw. there IS a "feature" with this unit. At about 5k revs the vibration (on a 1200GS) causes a the unit to switch off if running on batteries. I returned it to Garmin, who replaced it under warrantee - but still the problem. Cured it by using a power cable. Touratech mount is really good.

Nye, all the 60's have this problem - it's a bad design that allows the batteries to vibrate loose. I solved it by sticking a thin bit of foam padding with double sided tape inside the battery compartment. This holds the batteries solidly and no more problem......but you are right of course, a 12v power source is the way to go.

Gecko, thanks for the top tip. When I phoned Gramin they did not acknowledge this as a design feature - they said I must have been unlucky in recieveing two faulty units! As you suggest, I've put a bit of foam in the battery compartment - with the power cable as well it's belt and braces approach, but better that than the unit failing just when I need it.

Colleagues at GPS Warehouse say they have a power lead for MAP60 (GPSW brand), part is a CLC01 and its approx 13 squid.
I notice your still pushing those muffins.
