Well folks, finally did it and put a deposit down on a GSA 1200 today with CW.
Should be around the end of the month approx when i pick it up, feel like a kid with a new toy.
Back on a beemer after about 5yrs out in the wilderness, will keep in touch via here and CW's yahoo group, now I feel part of the site.

John welcome back, hope you enjoy the GS, just a pitty you didin't go for the 1150 ADV, , only joking I'm sure the 12 is good just not as good as the 1150......

You won't regret it. I bought my first BMW in November last year, a 12GSA and its brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After being a lifelong sportsbike rider I had to re-calibrate myself over a couple of rides but now I would not be on any other bike
