Finally got round to replacing gearbox indicator switch unit (had got to the point where bike would only start with side stand up and clutch held in). Followed advice on forum and the job was a piece of cake. Dropped exhaust and cat, removed old switch compressing retaining spring tags with mole grips. Pre compressed spring on new unit and applied mini cable tie to keep compressed. Refitted switch and removed cable tie to lock unit in place. Less than an hour start to finish. That's my subsciption paid back in kind!!
