It works fine on mine - two things to remember:
1) On upshifts make sure you are accelerating (not neural throttle) before attempting to use it.
2) On downshifts make sure the throttle is fully closed.
That's it on mine - works perfectly, even at moderate acceleration.

Yup.
Be firm with that gear lever. If you're sloppy, it can cut the engine without you having changed cogs

Must be me, but it i just cant get used to not using a clutch after so many years using one and it feels like am damaging the gearbox![]()
It's like many of the advances - cruise control is another - both great, but I often forget to use them!
Its shit on the GS, strangely better on the 1200r and 1200rs, don't understand why but I've tried it on all 3 models and the GS is the worst.

Again, I use cruise control on every single ride. Bloody brilliant.

Blimey!
I tried it once on my last GS. But as a rule the roads I use rather preclude the use of cruise control. Thank God!
Likewise, saves me from being caught speeding.....
