gearbox question???

2004 gsa 1150, which runs the standard first gear, but i want to fit the lower ratio overland first gear.
any idea whats needed apart from the two new gears, a set of seals, and possibly a selector?

Sadly its not that simple.
You can buy the "short" gear for the output shaft,but the intermediate shaft appears to come as one piece (no seperate matching 1st gear available),at great expense.
One of the Brits on ADVrider was looking at the possibility of obtaining a spare GSA gearbox and somehow removing the correct 1st gear pinions (if possible)and fitting them to the standard GS box so you retain the O/D 6th but have a dirt friendly 1st.Not heard anything for a while though.
