Mine 07 adventure decided its time to get new clutch. So will be ordering new parts with oil resistant plate being put in as price difference aint alot so might just have it.

But since i gona have bike in 2 bits was told would be good practice to get gearbox seals replaced.
On diagram its shows 3 seals No 2,3,11. Can all 3 of them be replaced without splitting gearbox? i.e drill in tap screw in and pull out?

Thanks again for help

Advice on here from professional mechanics is to leave be unless leaking.

Friction plate in general is best to use OEM. Personally I used a different one that i purchased form germany. if you check out the thread from 6 months back or so you will see reasoning and vendor, and also the usggestions from many not to go that route. Might be worth a read if you have time.

You will need a new felt seal for clutch pushrod. lube with moly grease when refit. also a good opportunity to check out rear end and eg replace swingarm bearings, gearbox gaiter etc

The only seal i would change is the balance shaft seal.

Thanks gentlemen.

All parts ordered. Will do all swingarm and FD bearings while there too.

swingarm to frame bearings likely knackered. for some unknown reason they are only sealed on outside. if you take fd off you can check driveshaft and moly grease splines. check conditon of gaiters. bearings fd end of swingarm likely ok, or at least in better condition. might be worth servicing shock while you are at it if original one and unserviced since 07

Shocks already serviced by Dez0. FD been serviced 2k miles ago oil change gaiters been inspected back then too. But will still check everything and change FD bearings and swingarm since im there.
Got 47k miles so will be good have it all checked and swapped.

Swingarm amd FD bearings best use oem ones? As from reading uo doesn't seem there anything aftermarket to match.

oem easiest. they are small so not expensive anyway. if i do again i would try to fit swingarm bearing with seals both sides to stop water washing out grease from inside. but i don't have bearing numbers to had to advise. if you have time you could always remove one and get the same with double seal from bearing supplier. lots online. just make sure same spec in terms of clearance (load not an issue). unless anyone on here has a good reason to leave unsealed on inside?
