Hi all,

I have just ridden to work on my 2015 R1200GS WC Triple Black and I noticed that the general warning light (yellow) remained on with no other warning display symbols illuminated. I have have checked the manual and I can't find any reference to a fault with just the general warning light illuminated, does anybody have any ideas what's wrong ?.

Regards

Bulb out ?

Tyre pressures ?

Low oil ?

Hope that it is not keyless and you haven't left the fob at home!

There should be some text on the display indicating the fault.

The bike is keyless and the key is with me.

I will re-check the display but i thought that the bulb out, tyre pressures and low oil had additional icons in the rh side of the display.

If you have a nav 5 on the bike that should give you more information as the warning symbol will be on there as well and if you touch it it may well say more

Hi all,

I just popped down to the car park to check the general warning light again. The light is now out, I'll let you know what happens on the ride home from work.

Many thanks for everybody's help and advice.

Terry

The general warning light activated on mine when the led indicator was bust and I switched on that side indicator , the fact it is now clear is due to the canbus having reset after you switched off the ignition and the bike stood .When you start to ride it again and activate which ever circuit has the problem the light will reappear.
Most likely a lighting or brake light switch fault or similar

Don't forget to give the display time to do a pre-startup sweep before you press the start button.
