Is this a prog that runs in the background all the time???
This'll see if the prog is actually slowing things down.
Try:

START...RUN.... type "Msconfig" (no quotes), click OKAY

click the STARTUP tab

Untick all the progs that you don't need.... A clue to what they are from is in the files location.

Click OKAY to restart...

Restart the computer...

You may want to download the free utilities that stop this sort of thing being installed on your machine:

i/o

dont know whay its there as ive never downloaded anything but im struggling to get rid of it still even after ive tried above ? , , , , , , , ???
Its giving me pop up after pop up, even with the normal blockers in use . . . ???

i would recommend trying the above while being disconnected from the internet, or depending on the operating system try the fixes in safe mode (prob better)- failing that, - which version and service pack of windows are you using ? Is your computer slow from starting windows or just when you connect to the internet ?

but more importantly is your data backed up ??? best to make a backup (does not matter how long it takes) before we continue
