Givi question

Looking at getting a Givi top box for the bike but space is at a premium in my shed/garage which I had built to house my zx6 basically with the gs in and the door shut I have around 8 inches to play with (ooh err missus) obviously I can remove the box but how far does the fitting plate stick out past oe rack?
any help would be appreciated.

Mounting plate sticks out about 5.5" past the end of the rack on my 1150. My E35 top box probably sticks out another 2" past that, inc. the handle.

Just realised that this is the slow 1200 forum & not the superior 11XX forum

Depends on Model

The Rack itself sticks out no more than a few inches, maybe 5 or 6, but then you've got the box on top, which depending on your model will vary by which amount.

Thanks I did'nt want to buy the kit and then find I could'nt shut the garage door 5 or 6 inches of clearance should be fine but will probably have to take the box itself off to get it in.
