Don't bother with your jap bike at a bm dealer, their PX offers are the lowest of the low.I too was insulted and just laughed in the salesmans face when he offered me £5300 for my zzr1100d1 back in 1994 it was 8 months old and mint against a new 1100gs.I ended up selling it private three weeks later for £6300.Sell it private you might get somewhere near what it's worth.Andy

I don't understand your surprise. Most mainstream dealers would not consider stocking a streetfighter bike.

Most people I know with streetfighters either crashed the bike or bought it from an auction already crashed. For a dealer, this uncertain provenance is too much of a risk.

There's definitely a market for streetfighters as they are becoming more popular. You could always try Ebay.

the guy at the shop had already seen the bike after a test ride on a rockster last year and he said he would take it in no problem and showed quite alot of intrest and even made phone calls there and then and came back to me with a ballpark figure.. but after about one year and only 700 miles the figure he was talking this time was under half of the first one... thats why i was dissapointed..... personally i was suprised he even looked at it..
