Gone back to a 1250

I'm keeping my 1200TC

Yes I miss Cruise, but I'm toying with a wing for summer trips

It’s had 3 services in 650 miles, I’m not sure they even did anything apart from look at it, no they changed the brake fluid.
It’s hardly worth owning if that’s all the riding it gets. Probably much cheaper to rent one for the weekend.

I’ve got a car that’s the same never leaves the garage.

I keep thinking about getting rid of the gs, tho once it’s gone I doubt I’d ever find another like this, ceramic coated fully ppf, extras are endless.

You never know it might go up in value.

I'd check the tyres, they might have perished sitting about that long.

Already ticked that box new tyres last September as a precaution, 0-miles 🫣

Approached a bm dealer today about trading in my 650 miler 1250, gave him the spec and they offered me more than I actually wanted, I said I’d sleep on it, later on they called me twice and said if I don’t want to trade they would buy it off me, I never asked what the cash deal would be, I said I’ll think about it.
I'd say that's a rare example which would fly out of their showroom at top dollar if it's in as good nick as the mileage would suggest if it's a TE spec or better. Personally I'd be asking more than 1 dealer to give me quotes as in that condition you've got the upper hand. If you're interested give Steve Guest a ring at Cotswold if you're not dealing with them already, he's always been excellent to deal with when I've swapped bikes and despite what some might say through sucking teeth good examples of low milage GS' sell quickly all year round, which he'll openly admit and they'll come and pick it up too. Good luck

What are they saying it’s worth? Roughly.

There's many that love to see the top dog fall and overlook the underdogs short comings. A lot of this going on with the Chinese / Indian stuff.

Comparing a Himmy to a GS in any capacity is crazy.

It's like me arguing my Casio is better than an Audemars.
I think I stopped listening to the 'my bike is better than your bike' nonsense when I was in my early 20s. I make my own decisions as to what bike I ride. If a potential buyer came on here looking for some words of wisdom regarding bike choice, I think they would be disappointed! The almost constant, pathetic slagging is quite frankly a bit boring now. BMW bikes have their faults, just like every other manufacturer out there, but in over 30 years of GS ownership, I cannot recall anything significant ever going wrong with any of mine. My first bike was a big GS and my last bike will be the same.

I wasn't taking the piss,my car sits about all week while I'm away in my truck and my tyres have plenty of tread on them when they need replacing owing to cracks in the sidewall.
