When I bought my bike in March, I spec'ed it with the Nav V.
My thinking in this was a) I didn't want to wait for the Nav VI which was going to be a couple of more weeks and, perhaps more importantly (as I saw it then) that the Nav V had been around a while, so any faults or bugs should have been ironed out by then - Deluded fool that I was!
From DAY 1 I have had problems with it.
Sometimes I switch on the bike and it all interfaces spot on.
Often though, it says it's connected to the phone but the phone doesn't show up on the screen.
Sometimes it does, but it won't allow me to answer.
Sometimes it shows the phone as connected, and that all works but it says that I have no compatible headset connected to listen to music - forgive me, I LIKE to listen to music AND the raucous sound of my Akra system!
I have to have a 32Gb micro SD card with all my music stored and the Nav V will ONLY see mp3 files - no other types... I had to spend hours re-converting my entire music library.
Sometimes that all works but the playback skips and crackles like a bitch - if that happens, just switching off and back on won't cure it you have to stop, demount the Nav, hard boot and try again - often getting one of the other problems.
And sometimes the thing just freezes or goes blank... so you have to stop, switch off, demount the unit and try again (with crossed fingers)... nah, works great!? NOT!!
I've even tried using a different phone and gone as fas as to change from the dedicated SRCS comms that is designed for the Schuberth C3Pro/Mac computers to a Sena 10U for the C3 Pro.. Same problems persist
So the kit is 6 months + old.
Yesterday, I contacted Bahnstormer Alton by email. I got a phone call back within the hour and today they sent out a Demo Nav VI for me to try for "a couple of weeks" to see if it's any better - It couldn't be much worse!
I've been told that if it solves my problem, they will take back the Nav V, send me a brand spanking new Nav VI and I just have to pay the difference.
THAT is why I buy from Bahnstormer...
