Went out on the harley this afternoon and put in around 50 miles. Got home and jumped straight on the airhead GS. It felt like a racing bike after the Harley, very quick, smooth and like riding on a knife edge. It was great but I missed the weight and chunky feel of the harley. I can see the BM's taking a back seat for a while.

They do have a certain something . Had a Road King For 3 years from new , loved it . Had a Road Glide for 2 years Loved the way it went but never gelled with the look. Last one was a fat Boy in Diamond Ice best Looking Bike I ever owned . Sold that in 2002 and bought a GSA1150 New . Never looked back , but I could easily be swayed into Harley ownership again as I get older :D

I'm heading the other way...

It's the smaller bikes (like my two Airheads) that are my real favourites now...

Really big, heavy bikes just seem too much, hence I sold my R1150GSA as well!

Went for a ride the other day on my harley, 1st time in about 6 weeks & the first 20-30 mins i was thinking "i must be mad, why not go back & get the GS" but i stuck with it & glad i did, completely different ride & still love it, but not 100% of the time :D

When I get back on my airhead after being on the Harley for a while, I always marvel at the smooth as silk gearbox and delight at the way it just sniks into 1st gear without me thinking my gearbox has just dropped out. :D

I do enjoy having both though. It stops things getting boring (for me, anyway). Also, trying to hustle the Harley through London's streets is not a whole heap of fun when it's busy.
