Had my new 1200GS delivered to my house today. Have been sitting on it in the garage, wish I could ride it.
The road outside is white with salt so, although I normaly ride in the winter, I think I will leave my new bike in the garage untill the salt has gone, if I can resist the temptation.
Will enjoy flicking through the manual tonight.
To all those picking up new bikes tomorrow, enjoy ( & stay warm ):beerjug:

You sad Git!

I would do the same:D

I hope you enjoy your GS. Don't forget the salt will wash off.

And if it's a red one you'll smile in the knowledge it's a fast one.

you will probably learn the manual without looking it...hehe

Sod that....get a can of WD40, spray the bike all over (ok, you can leave out the brake discs and seat- even the tyres if you're feeling soft) and get yerself out there FFS!!!!

Wash it off when you get back and sorted.

Can't believe you'd not get out there on it.......you're a very cold fish Rod.
;) ;)

Fek the salt, get out there and use it......enjoy:D

Yep, as I said before in a soberer post the salt does wash off. I like a clean corrosion free bike as much as the next man but these bike are built for usin'.
