Got mine on Wednesday - what do I make first.................

Yes but they cost £500

No don't get the akra it's the size of a dustbin.

He's minted!:D

And it looks great, in the flesh. The sound more than makes up for any worries about the looks! :green gri

hahahahaha well seemingly Nuts likes his dustbin :D (which is fine by me, live and let live of course) and once again IMHO I`m surprised its only £500!

If you heard one on full chat without the baffle, you'd want one! Ask SE Rider, as he had a front row seat yesterday!:D

As an aside

As an aside, one fella (not on the forum) has suggested that instead of two simple blanking fasteners on the RH side why don`t I make a simple handle to a) help with putting the bike on the centre stand and b) as a tie down point for luggage.

I thought it was a good idea.................... :clap

One thing you could consider is heavier bar end weights. Over in the S1000XR forum they talk of a US company, HMVP, , I think, that is making some. Although the vibes are a lot better now there is still a tingle between 4500 and 5500 rpm.

What do ya think?

Is the exhaust hanger and blanking bolts ready yet???

Fella, there`s another thread about bar end weights which is interesting. Regarding making them I`m afraid its something I`m not looking into at the mo - soz but it takes all my time keeping Nuts happy, patient as he is............... :D

and yes the hangers are up there for sale....

Sorry again Mark, but I wouldn't bother. The grab rail/ pillion handle at the back is perfect for getting the bike on the centre stand. This is the easiest bike to put on the centre stand, so an additional lever isn't required, IMO.

I`m sure I would Nuts :D and it is a lovely bit of kit

But £500.............. too rich for me................

The Hp rear sets that prevent your heel rubbing the can are £500 ish

The akra is around the eye watering £700 ish mark

They have too much money down that Surrey way

I agree on the grab handle ! It ain't a GS

I hear what you are saying Nuts but, maybe because I`m fining it harder to twist round, a handle would be easier than grabbing the rear rack for me. It is quite easy to get on the main stand, a handle could make it easier for us older buggers :rob

And as requested, here's progress, as unsubstantial as it is, regarding the belly pan - I've got the first prototype design laser profiled and I will be fitting it later this week to progress it. What you can see are the development of the two main parts of the belly pan

Ah ha, progress is being made!:thumb

Yeah, and please bear in mind that other manufacturers will take many months to do what I can normally do in days or weeks so although it may seem slow it's actually quite fast compared to the norm. Good job I haven't got a day job..............
