Great little loop. Lake Vymwy is very pretty.

Here's a few (not the most excitting) videos from the dam:

Perfekt, thank‘s a lot!

As your posts are all about your holidays in England and Wales, are you able to share some great routes in Germany, please?

Hm, the last years i‘m only driving motorbike in my main holidays an exclusively outside of Germany (Norway, Slowenia, GB, Ireland, West-Alpes, France..)...

Any of the other countries will do, too.

Looks like it’s strictly one way traffic with Joerg, with not even any ideas or suggestions for holiday routes in his home country.

O.K. my friend, next time i will hurry up and jump immediately you say it...

Is this the real infelction in this forum? I think it is not.

I'd like to invite you also to visit German GS-Forum (.eu) or german scooterforum. There, i have never seen, that anyone has asked at once for something return, when a person from a nother country visits and asks for some Tipps (by the way: two times within ten years).

But no problem, as soon as my time allows, i will post for example my gpx.files from Norway-Route, for example, if it helps. Is that possible without paying for it (just for my interest) and could you be so kind to explain me, how i get a picture out of basecamp from the routes to post it? Im not yerry used to such things. Does it work with screenshot or is there a better way?

And please excuse, if i can't manage at once. But i have family visit at home.

somewhat surprised greetings

J.

It is how the world generally works best.

You have been arriving here looking for help with your holidays but there is no trace of you ever getting involved in return, not even in the dedicated German section, where people do ask for assistance and advice. Of course, if you don’t want to assist anyone at all, so be it.

Enjoy your visit to Wales. Hopefully someone will tell you how to get back to Harwich. If they don’t, use Kurviger, which is German but remarkably popular here in the UK.

Hi Joerg,

There is a few members on this forum who are travelling to Germany this summer, me included :)
I think that's why Wapping is asking.

as for posting images..
down below click GO ADVANCED
scroll down to ATTACHMENTS and then click MANAGE ATTACHMENTS
where it says "Upload Files from your Computer" click CHOOSE FILE then load your image file
Click UPLOAD
Then click CLOSE THIS WINDOW

finish your post as normal and SUBMIT REPLY

Job done

this is my planned trip so far ;)

That’s exactly it or it’s one way traffic only.

For anyone who wants to access the German equivalent of UKGSer, here’s their travel section:

https://www.gs-forum.eu/forums/reise.100/

It translates OK into the Christian language, too.

Hi Joerg

There’s some tips here: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/to...ead.php?t=595177&share_type=t&link_source=app

There are dedicated sections for different countries regions so I’m sure any routes and recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated by bods going to those countries and any local favourites are always valuable for finding roads you otherwise might miss (as you are finding for Wales).

Thanks in advance for your input

Tom

Nice routes there Alan29
I like a slight variation on that Llangollen to Llangollen
Eats as where Alan29 states or Lakeside cafe Tanygrisiau or Chain and Sprocket cafe Ruthin with a little variation at Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd
Barmouth has a great chippy by the railway crossing not the one by the harbour rail bridge
If your near Dolgellau, then the Eurospar on the edge of town do very good baps then a short ride to the river to enjoy

Nice couple of days there...I have the advantage of being 15 minutes from Llangollen so have lots of options
If the weather holds it's going to be busy and Op Darwen was relaunched by NWP start of this month so there will be a presence on the bike routes so may take the minor roads

You really ought to try the B4391. When you head out of Bala on the A4212 instead of carrying on turn off to the right onto the B4391 to Ffestiniog. Cracking road and very scenic. There's a lovely viewpoint at Cwm Cynfal where you can look out to Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsular.

Route altered :)

as it turns out i was doubling back on the same road in that area, so this is better.
i will stop off and get some Photos ;)

Hi Barnoe,

nice Trip! In my Opinion i would perhaps prefer to go a little bit more in the North between Bielefeld and Nürnberg, so you can travel through the "Harz", an exciting low mountain range. From there i would go south and through the "Thüringer Wald", also an low mountain ranged area. In both you will find great Motorbikeroutes everywhere. Next area i could recommend on your way woul be the "Fränkische Schweiz in the triangel between Bamberg/Bayreuth/Nürnberg. A very loveley Area with the highest rate of brewerys in Europa. Great beers, great landscape, Restaurants, Pubs and beergardens are very cheep there. And on your way, you should not miss to visit Bamberg, a great middle aged city with also special beers. Only Problem: Lots of Tourists. Bayreuth is also nice, but not to compare with Bamberg. Nürnberg is a very good goal, but as i see, you trie to avoid big citys (so i also do in my bike holidays). Bamberg ist small enough, in my Opinion. In the line between Regensburg and Passau you travel mainly through Czech Republic. As far as i remember that is a good idea. However you can think about to change partly on the german side to the bavarian forest, it's also a very nice biking area. I had painted a rough route/direction on a google map, but i saw now, that i can't attetch without being a paying member.

Wish you a nice trip! I case of any questions: do not hesitate.
