Hi,

2007 r1200gs.

I had a set of what I think were grip puppies on the bike when I bought it a few months ago. Unfortunatly, one had a slight tear and after 1600 miles on the Wild Atlantic way, I had to remove it. This left one on the right but sensitive soul that I am, I found it affected handling, so I've removed that one too.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can buy a replacement set for the best price? I miss them:)

Next time you rip one, wrap some self amalgamating tape around it :beerjug:

Plenty on fleabay.
Was thinking of trying them myself.
Go on, treat yourself if you aren't buying the AF-XIED units.:green gri

I found them great:D Mind you, I've big hands...
I'll possibly get an AF-XIED next year:thumb2

Good suggestion. Wish I'd thought of it at the time. Some of the other suggestions I've read have included wrapping them in the stuff you put on tennis racket and golf stick handles.

I'll get onto ebay.

Interesting idea. Does not look as comfy as a set of grip puppies!!!

Iv got them fitted to both of my 1150s I do fined them two thick for the first month they seam to lose there thick ness a little. I'm happy with them you will he looking at paying 14 pound is the best price that Iv seen them at

Grip BUDDIES are far better than puppies. They don't absorb water for instance. They also conduct the heat from heated grips better. You can get them from Nippy Norman amongst others.

Grip puppies are great BUT, they only last about a year. I've gone over to using grip buddies from Nippy normans. They are more expensive but last a lot longer,

They didn't prevent me getting pins and needles so caveat emptor

Those pins and needles might be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. I've had it for a few years now.
If they only affect from your middle finger to your thumb, that's it.
Nothing much helps except a throttle lock or cruise control. Heated grips seem to make it worse.

Not sure which ones I have but they have been on 2 bikes and still going strong after 25k miles they were about £16 if I remember right
