i recently bought a 1997 gs 1100 when i come out of a corner or go to overtake and give it gas the bike dies for a couple of seconds then catches tried every thing any body any idea cheers

Not much chance of throwing any light on the problem with the amount of information given - anything suggested would be pure guess work .

Whats the mileage , just what does " tried everything" really mean ?
if he really had tried everthing ( whats his mechanical experiance), it would now be running OK .
When was it last serviced, and who by ? Does it only die coming out of bends, or with any hard acceleration ?

I'm not a mind reader.

the bike is currently in bmw dealer diagnostics coming up perfect ,had doner bike switching everything ,been on to bmw tech,no further forward now theyre talking about possible gumed up eng cause previous owner rode like a poof im not to sure on this one but thois probs got bmw pulling there hair out oh its done 24000 miles no guessing games please.cheers

steptoe when you give the bike gas in 4 or 5 especialy it stutters then catches the revs im a hgv mech and i build old boxers but no ex with fuel injection

Start cheap - try the fuel filter.
