Hi going to Norway end of June.Just wondering about what sort of servicing should do on the bike and what i should take such as spares going to cover about 2500miles.Thanks J:beerjug:

1100GS Servicing

Have it serviced according to the schedule.
If there is a service interval coming close, get it done, other wise just ride the wheels off it.
I just got back from a 6,500km wander, 1,800 past the service interval, no issues. But it does go in next friday for the nice man to wave his spanners at it.

cheers

check the brake pads, theres some big hills over there! Otherwise its a question of weight/size versus chances of it being usefull. Cable ties weigh next to nothing and are usefull temporary fixers. A halfords spare bulb kit is sensible and a puncture repair kit. I have carried both for thousands of miles and used neither so far.

Spare clutch cable, ignition loom (the short one that goes from the ignition and under the front of the tank) and an alternator belt.

Make sure final drive bearing isn't rumbling.
