GS collector box

I assume they are chromed and not SS? What are the options for replacement. Unobtainia?

The original BMW item is chromed or plated from what I can see on mine. The silencer is stainless but the collector doesn't appear to be.
I thought I read that the original collector box from BMW was available again but I'm not sure if that's true or not.
And apparently, a y-pipe is not the way to go.

I think I was the lucky one to get the last of the 'new' batch....I was told no longer available anymore
They are indeed chromed but do last about 20 years
Twas £280 when I bought it this year

Agreed....OE chromed or a stainless Y piece is the only way to go on a paralever etc

No, I'm not sure, and obviously spouting rubbish. Please excuse me.

(I have a g/s, I assumed that if they did them for that, they'd do them for a gs)

Smoother running and better torque

The Y pieces aren't a bad idea but feeding gases in perpendicular to each other hardly seems like it will work properly which seems to be the case
