I'm trying a MS1260S on Thursday possibly trading in my March 2017 Exclusive, anybody care to guess what I'll get offered ? Its done 14,000 miles and is in very good nick, probably because I've only used it the summer. There are no prizes for the closest !

Yes I agree - I wasn’t saying it to purposely deflate you - they (the stealers) can be cheeky monkeys at times! I hope you get its value

Just fancy a change ,it won't be the end of world if I keep it Another year.

Ooohh that's a lot miles sir, people don't want bikes with that millage on them,so its not worth much sir sorry

I am going to say 11K based on the Ducati being full money

Now as a balance to change could be a whole different ball game as i reckon Ducati are desperate to get bods off BMW so it depends how you present the figures on the invoice

I bought my 3k miles '67 plate TE (not Exclusive) from Cotswold for £11.5k last November - assuming they made a profit on it I doubt it it will reach £11k or anywhere near it.

Sorry.

Your right about full money no discount available, partly due to the free £1000 touring package.

There’s a distinct (mostly) bell curve of value with beemers IMHO - I was recently offered £10k for my two year old K1600GT top spec with radio against a new RT - I paid £20k for it! At the other end of the bell curve a lad who works for me paid £2.5k for a 1980’s airhead R65 which was in quite a state and that was one of the cheaper examples! As I said, bit of a bell curve......

Airheads are only worth £2k to ride
Their performance and handling is light years away from modem standards
Crazy that people want £10k for them

i had a ride on pro twins of godstone 1260 multistrada last week, very impressed with it,superb handling and very quick, the 1250 bm is not a patch on it imo,the value of my 68 plate te with 6000 on the clock made it expensive to change so im sticking with bm for a bit longer

I ride with a pillion most of the time so it limits my choice of bike, the multi will have to be really good to beat the GS for all round comfort .Boring I know but there becomes a point when comfort takes priority over performance!

another option is when you get your trade in price, to either sell privately or ask a BMW dealership if they want to purchase from you ? I know Williams in Manchester were advertising to Buy bikes last week . Might help you get a better deal on the MS

if you ride with a pillion a lot not a lot of point getting the multi as i reckon you wont be able to use the performance of the ducati without upsetting the pillion. The ducati really is an upright sports bike.

I called in at AJ's last week and they had six 17plate Exclusive's can't imagine they would want 7,might be worth a try at another dealer I guess. No deal to be had on the multi according to the dealer with or without a px
