Bemused observer
I own both.
The GS is more "immediate". The lighter crank is really noticeable. It gets up and goes in Dynamic mode, that's for sure (relatively...I also own a S1000R...now THAT goes...
).
The RT feels more refined and smoother. I'm 5 10, and I find it very comfortable.
I'm about 90 kg fully booted and spurred, and I find the GS suspension great, no problem.
The RT is even better...very smooth and relaxed, yet poised in the twisties.
What always makes me smile about the RT is the handling....she handles so well for a "touring" bike. So light on her feet!
The quickshifter works well, the screen provides very good coverage and I like the radio.
Bitches?
The glove box and the front guard are too small. The latter is very easily fixed with a machineartmoto extender.
Some gratuitous pics...
