GS Oil Filter

Hi
How may notches does the oil filter have on its base?
Whilst waiting for my new GS to arrive in Oz I purchased an oil filter removal tool from NZ (New Zealand) which has 12 notches Is this correct as I don't have a GS filter here to check it?
The tool cost A$25.00 has a 3/8" drive and is very well made. Cheaper than the A$60 BMW want for their tool.

Without going down to my cold garage to check, I'm quite sure its twelve. Have a look at the tool here and there are 12.
