GS Recall

My April 08 GSA is in for brake recall tomorrow. Have taken opportunity to book test on a S1000 while mines being sorted. Hope I hate it otherwise it could be very expensive recall !!

Mines booked in for the recall on July 16th with Vines brake pipes under the tank so im told, can vibrate and leak fluid although vines said they have not found any faulty pipes as yet ! Might take advantage of this and give the 2010 loan bike a try !

I have been told my 54 plate requires the re-routing of the front ABS sensor cable, but ok on the brake connector arrangement.

Mines an 09 GS, no recall on the brakes but popped into Bristol BMW who mentioned a recall regards the routing of the clutch hose. 1 min later and the techy had it sorted, very impressed with their friendly attitude.

Mine's registered July 09... Pidcocks checked and said its too recent for the recalls

Funny thing this, I got a letter dated the 13th May informing me that there was a brake line recall on my May 09 adv.

Phoned the dealer today to be told that it is not on the list, I then phoned BMW to confirm and been told this is correct it does not apply to mine (and its not already been done)

Seems the subject of a bit of a cock up !

I'm in on the 13th - which is weird 'cos I got the letter today.

And Vines will charge £25 for a loan bike, so stuff that - I'll sit there and drink their free coffee for a couple of hours while reading a good book and oggling at the car saleswomen Unless Penny's back, in which case I'll enjoy her particularly entertaining brand of madness. And then go for an oogle.

1200 GSA 57 plate - recall letter received yesterday for the brake pipe replacement.

Will be phoning Coopers @ Tunbridge Wells in the morning.

Just got a letter for an 'outstanding recall' on my 09 gsa, didn't say what for though! Bit slow off the mark, I was expecting one a while back!
I'll give em a ring when I get time!
