GS seat on a GSA

I've recently changed from a 2015 GS with the standard seats to a 2019 GSA Exclusive with the grey / black 2 piece seat that's standard fitment for that model. I find my old seat more comfortable so I was going to buy a pair of GS seats for the new bike, does anyone know if standard GS seats are lower or higher than the adventure ones?

Both seats are the same height it’s just the chassis that is low

No they’re not. I had both on my GSA and the GS seat is about 2cm lower.

For probably the fourth time and we ae not talking about the covers or the height differences once on the bike due to different suspension lengths just the actual base and padding

gs low seat is very low with next to no padding
standard gs seat and low gsa seat identical
standard gsa seat equals high gs seat
high gsa seat is just that with vast amounts of padding

The seats are listed separately for GS and GSA however the part numbers are the same. This indicates the seats are the same for GS and GSA, same thickness and interchangeable

That’s not correct. The standard GS and standard GSA seats are physically different with noticeably different padding and shape. The GS seat is flatter and the GSA has longer, steeper sides. As I said (reality rather than part numbers in a price list), I’ve had both seat on my GSA and there’s approximately a 2cm difference, but it feels more than that because the GSA seat is wider at the nose.
The seat mounting mechanism is AFAIK the same on both models, the seats are interchangeable.

My situation is that I am 90% there, to ordering a GSA 1250 Rallye TE that my dealer supplies with black two piece seat rather than tricolour rallye bench seat. Currently i have Honda AT adventure sport 1000
Due to 36 inch leg and six foot five I believe soon after purchase I will be ordering one of the following:
High Rallye bench seat, or ,
Riders front high seat, black not comfort or exclusive just high to match existing.
Would appreciate if anyone knows those part numbers for sure.

High Rallye seat - 52538404228

If you give that to a dealer they can order. Sometimes the part number changes (the actual product doesn’t always), but dealers have a pointer to the new part number.

The high GS seat is the same height as a regular GSA seat on the original link above.

My standard GS seat arrived today, as is noticeably lower than the GSA seat it replaced. Cheers for all the help
