GS1250 engine RPM query

Hi Guys, sorry if this has already been answered but couldn’t find anything on the forum. I have a new GS1250 1000 miles which has been running fine for the last few months. Took it out today and the engine just wasn’t producing power as normal in all engine modes. No warning lights or messages but found it wouldn’t rev above 5000rpm. Pulled over and turned the bike off, waited a few minutes then restarted and all was fine. Wondered if anyone has come across this and what the dealer diagnosed the cause as if you got that far. I believe the shiftcam switches around 5000rpm and wondered if it may be an engine management issue? Many thanks, Sam

Sam , no idea but your dealer is the one to go to as they will be able to hook the bike up to the system and see if there may be fault codes , hope it works out okay and sorry I cant help more , but its new , take it back and complain .

Try a fresh tank of V Power fuel first, especially if it's been sat for a few months. Otherwise dealer
