Hi, I am due for my 3 year service and first MOT soon. Mileage is less than 4,000. Only used the bike twice this year. Can anyone give me an idea of the service costs? I am in the south east.

Just had mine done at bahnstormer - oil / filter and rear drive oil change. £190
Was told that the valve clearances don't need doing until 12K+ miles - irrespective of age.

Thanks for this. That's about what I expected. I just got a quote from a mobile BMW guy of £445 which seemed ridiculous.
My R1250GS service during the summer (oil change and filter) including MOT was £195.
My 1250 Rallye goes in to Marshalls Grimsby next week been quoted £160

Just had the 3 year 18000 mile oil + filter MOT and break fluid done for £200.
Would highly recommend the BMW 5 yr/30K service inclusive contract. I paid £1199 in May 21, which is honoured overseas as well. Just had the GSA serviced in Vienna, no charge and they gave her a clean and polish as part of the service......;-)
It's within range for the valve check service.
When I told the guy he seemed expensive, he explained that his customers didn't mind paying a premium for having the work done at their home. I mistakingly thought he would be cheaper.

So not having rent, rates, utilities to pay for is now an excuse to charge more.

Full brake fluid change as I forgot to get it done at 12 months.
At 6K service it was only 7 months old
Total was £366.90
Pleased with that
Shopped around the Motarrad dealers and there was big variance between the 6 or 7 I could have gone to without it being an overnight trip
PS made about ten quid back on coffee & biscuits
