GSA 1150 engine ticking noise

Hmmm, still torn. Everyone I've spoken to says to leave it its fine but I find the ticking quite distracting and feels a shame to have such a nice bike not purring exactly as it should especially one that's only done 15k. Plus i'm also concerned it might get worse and then need new throttle bodies at some point. Tempted by the motobins kit for £90 all in.

It's your time so your choice. I'd check valve adjustment and end float then ride it. It's still not worn in at 15k miles so will improve with use.

Get someone else to have a listen to it then - someone who is conversant with the 1150. Not a 1200 rider, they won't have a clue!

I work near Euston and would be happy to have a listen if it helps. Currently riding in on my 140,000+ miles 1150 complete with recently replaced used throttle bodies - which tick despite being 15,000 miles old!!

Thanks for the offer Dr Alf but I've actually had another guy have a look at it who said the same thing about the TB's - they're fine don't worry about them. But for some reason i've gone ahead and ordered the kit.

George's dad, do you remember what size tap you needed to remove the bushings?

I can't find any clear online videos of a TB refurb, so i'll try and film the process and post it here when i'm done.
