GSA Autocom lead tidy

Apologies if this has been posted before, TBH I can't be arsed checking if it has- you'll just have to live with it.

I got fed up with the Autocom lead dangling under the seat and even fed-up-erer with the extra lead from my helmet flapping around my leg or getting caught in between my leg and the tank.

It also spoiled the flowing lines of the bike

So I tucked it away behind the tank panel/ FPC cover and secured it underneath with one of the Autocom supplied sticky back cable tidies.

I'll need to get out for a wee run to see how it works. The forward facing unprotected lead won't be a problem for me as I always plug in to music/phones etc..

Isnt it going to be a little awkward plugging in when sat on the bike - or is there a little free play in the lead ?

I've got three cables coming out by my crotch (but the doc said that was normal), its the headphones, mp3 lead and radio lead. I need to get the tank-bag velcro strip on sharpish to stop them rubbing against the paint but they seem ok when you're on and riding.

Dunno, not been out to try it out yet but as I usually plug in before I get on it won't be a problem for me.
Anyway, if it;s crap it's five minutes work to fix.

As for the tank bag- I don't use the sticky velcro bit- got a part from BMW that clips under the tank cover - so no tacky sticky on bit.

If you need cheap (free!) dust caps, the plastic bungs used to cover the fixing bolt heads on the arms of office swivel chairs fit a treat. SO whenever you go to the office or anywhere else with similar chairs you know what to do.
