I don't really know that bit at all, I only know Alnmouth and the area North and to Alnwick.

Is it an OK community or is a run-down shithole on the edge of an open cast mine?

New estates at Chevington Green are okay, some of the other parts that are ex council houses are fine but it has its fair share of S***E living there (mainly a couple of streets) .
If your thinking about buying anywhere in the rural area ie Blyth up over PM me as I work the whole area and can advise which places i would definitely NOT want to live.

It's only a place that I tend to pass rather than visit, are you thinking of moving South then?

It's a mate of mine who may have to head Sooth to be closer to his kids, he doesn't know the North East at all - so i said i'd ask on here what Hadston was like as there seems to be a few houses to rent fairly cheaply around there...not a good sign in my experience

No pub? He'll top himself after a month.....

The majority of the houses up for rent are on the new estate next to the
A1068, loads of people got involved in self builds and buying off plan with a view to making a quick sale on completion and then the market crashed.
There are some really nice houses on the estate that were built about 3-4 years ago and have never been lived in.

Thanks for the info, folks. I don't think me oppos that impressed with Hadston I think he was expecting summat like Alnwick or Rothbury (without the armed police and nutters living in drains...)
