I'll be wearing a twatsuit with an illuminated hi-vis waistcoat and maybe a neckbrace if there's room. Like fk!
I'll be the guy with a woolly hat, heavy Helly Hansen windproof coat in subdued colours and fur lined boots! Oh and gloves in case I have to pick up frozen metal bits.. Dunno whether to wear plus-fours or dirty jeans with spats. And I'll be going by car in case my feet get cold. Or in case I buy something!

Ive no missed the haggis bash for years but unfortunately Im gettin a visit from a coulple o fellas from south of the wall on Sunday .Hope ye get a bargain Zundapp what are you hutn this show apart from a heat
I missed it last year cos I clean forgot about it. It always seems like the start of the season, cold or not!

Well its looks like another dry day (at the moment anyway) so think I'll take a run out and pop in to have a look around.
Need to check out the car boot market on the way down as I have a mountain of stuff that I need to shift and it will give me an idea of what sort of price stuff is now going for

Well, I was there.
I decided to take the 1150 GSA instead of the 100GS. It was a good run, dry main roads and enough heated clothing to keep the chill East wind at bay.
I got talking to this fellah. He hasn't had his 1200GS long and didn't know about this site - he does now and might look in.
I met Skynet and later bumped into a 'Stumpy' look-alike, except this one is a Harley rider with a beard
This caught my eye. Its a BSA frame with a Yamaha OHC motot in it. I think it looks rather nice (I didn't ask the price)
I fancied this 1938 350 NSU as well. Fortunately I only had £50 with me
As usual, the bike park was more interesting than the stalls. A nice roadworthy Trumpet . . .
This LE Velocette had a 5 litre can strapped to the LH pannier frame. For all I know he had travelled hundreds of miles to the event
This is a bit of a 'minger' - but it did get to the event
One for the Airhead Section . . . I have a couple of pictures for them
I didn't spot Zundapp . . . but then I wouldn't from his description. Hope you made it OK Z.

Just got back - brilliant pics Voyager! You're right, the bike park's usually the most interesting place at an event, but isn't it amazin how much better an event is when the ground's dry?
You went with 50 quid? I'm not allowed out on my own with as much dosh as that.... I was even made to take cheese rolls and a flask with me.
All I came back with was a fire extinguisher for my Bombardier, but a good day out. It was still cold though. Or am I aging rapidly...

I didn't want to be the one who let his secret out....
I spent £3.00 on an old spanner that I will modify for use with my lathe (to lock the mandrel when removing the chuck).
Oh yes - I spent £2.00 on coffee and hot chocolate.

Felt colder than yesterday and reckon I should have shoved my North Face Down jacket under my Cruise Jacket. Nice run along the Clyde Valley and up the lovely twisty final stretch just before entering Lanark. (didn't have a stop at the Clyde Valley Car boot as it wasn't on for some reason).
Didn't see a single bike in Lanark then thought have a got the right day
Had a rough idea where the Auction place was so headed in that direction and saw queues of cars for it but still no bikes. Turned in and was relieved to see a poster advertising it. Parked up with some other bikes and it wasn't long before I came across Bob. We had a dawdle around and this bearded guy and his big pal approached us Relieved to see it was Stumpy and had a bit of a catch up with them. Was bitterly cold outside so the hot chocolate Bob bought me heated me inside and out
Saw Stumpy again as the BMW Combination was leaving. Passed it a while later and managed a shot of it on the road (missed a shot as it went right past me). Got back with the bike still pretty clean

Here, I reckon we should be told the story behind Stumpy's Nouveau Tramp look. Are the Strathclyde polis lookin' for a one leggit clean shavin' man by any chance?
