Hall sensor - failure symptoms?

Hi, Ive got a big trip coming up and I've noticed my 1100GS feeling lumpy at idle sometimes.



















































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































































Hi, Ive got a big trip coming up in a few weeks and Ive noticed my '95 plate 1100 GS feeling lumpy at idle. It may need the fuel system balancing but I have heard horror stories of Hall sensor failure. Do these just go and its a binary issue or are there tell tale signs its on the way out ? pops and bangs , then runs just fine .
sometimes sounds like frying bacon when you turn it on.

the HES , is sending signals to the ecu at the wrong time , which makes the bike fuck about .
pull the belt cover and inspect the wiring , if it is original , it may be falling to bits , and cross firing , hence the pops and bangs.

2 different plugs for different bikes
look at the side bar pictures

not the cheapest ( buy cheap buy twice )

had a couple off of him , trustworthy .

fluctuating rev counter,then it just stops,leave it 15 mins and it will go again if your lucky for another few miles​

Just buy one of Greek Johns off E bay and fit it and have done with

1100GS "should" be the flat six connection

BUT Check it before you order !
