Anyone use these on their GSA bike? These are made from a waterproof wax type cloth and are easy to put on and off. They fold up pretty small when not in use.Been looking on the internet but cant find them.Been thinking of making some out of an old dry as a bone coat. The ones I have found on the internet are big leather thingys. Any ideas?

Be careful with those...
seriously,
they are VERY dangerous to ride with...
Taking your hands off the bar while riding, becomes cumbersome and can be difficult to put your hands back on the bars while riding :rob

used steptoe's muffs on 2 bikes last winter with no problem at all

will be putting a set on the GSA soon.

Had a set of these many moons ago on my trusty XL500R for the winter months. yes a bit cumersome but so good and keeping the hands cosy.

Another vote for Steptoe's muffs, made by http://www.tucanourbano.it/

Like Cookie, I do not subscribe to the 'They are dangerous, can't move you hands' theory. Hundreds of London couriers can't all be wrong. Possible offences against the style police? Yes. Dangerous? No.

In the days before I had a company car (pre age 30) I always had a set of muffs on my winter hack, never had any problems with them and they make an amazing difference to comfort.

I've actually got a set of these sitting on the shelf in the garage, a neighbour gave them to me when he was clearing his garage out (not sure why ;) ).

You're/anyone is welcome to them if they want them.

Maybe you have a point with Sketty's muffs, I cant say because I have never seen these before, but this does not apply with the Tucanurbano muffs. The latter are massively larger and come halfway up my forarm, but I have no problem whatsoever putting hands in and out. Just takes a bit of practice.. and I would never dream of riding in winter without them.. LUXURY !
:D

Thanks for the replies. LiquidLAN, if you still got them that would be great,if someone beat me to them not to worry. My email is [email protected] let me know the postage. It gets below freezing in the winter in some places over here and there are a few Taffys coming over June,July August next year for a big trip around Aussie. Few months back we were in Glen Innes in Northern NSW and it was 4 degrees. The week before it was minus 12 degrees. So dont think we are all on the beach.

Sorry mate, Wedders got there first :nenau WindyChuffer, they are Rickmans, but I havent got a clue where from as I never bought them

Had the Oxfords - shite.

Now got some Steptoe's - dog's danglers. Chalk and cheese.

Look utterly pants I'll grant you, but they are excellent. No flapping. movement, getting in the way of any sort, and warm as toast.

If you are a year round commuter and don't have some, you're a fool to yourself. :nenau See - smilie with warm hands.
