Has anyone used ebay LED spotlights

Well I bit the bullet and bought a set, I don't think you can go far wrong for the money. Looking forward to fitting them and giving them a go, I've even found a fix for the three mode setup but I doubt I'll need it as I'll rig them up to a bar mounted switch.
I'll add info and pics when I get them fitted. Thank you all for the input.

Hi Spanner Monkey,
I have these lights on my GS, they are hopeless as extra lighting at night but I use them 'ON' all the time to be seen better.
One of them has taken in a bit of moisture.

Can you tell me what you did to stop them from switching between the 3 settings, as each time I start the bike it's in a different setting and I don't really ride with the strobe if I forget to check.
Thanks,
Pablo

Hi Pablo there are a couple of links on you tube for the 3 mode removal, looks pretty simple and you could reseal and dry out your wet lens at the same time,
Try the link below it should link you to the you tube video

Sorry that link doesn't work, just go to YouTube and search the following title

There's at least 2 dicks here- most of these cheap lights from China are complete crap ! I tried to get a refund for mine, they offered me 50% refund & keep them, I declined, then they said just bin them & gave me a full refund, they didn't want them back & I don't blame them !

I have those on eBay. They are crap. Spent an hour with them and removed right away. You probably are mistaken with the uber pricey Touratech stuff. The eBay spots make a tiny round spot that doesn't really help.

Then I bought those for not much more and they work much better.

I've just fitted these and they give out a really bright, white Light Spread.
Do you run them as Daytime Running Lights?
I'll be interested to see whether I get flashed by blinded Cagers at night.......

Fitted and working, and I'm very happy with them, more pics to follow.

Well aimed and minimal spread of light, no danger of blinding the cagers

Where did you get the light bar?

I fettled it myself from some 10 gauge aircraft Ali, I'm an aircraft engineer by trade so I have a lot of off cuts hanging about, just bent it with hardwood blocks in my vice to make it look a bit more interesting.
It's got stick on carbon look on the ends just for looks.

Some more pics of the light bar, total cost for everything including electrics about £28. Very happy with my bargain farkles.

I think the setup looks great.

Well I have just been out down some dark unlit lanes near home and I must say I'm really impressed with the new lights, they make a huge difference and provide a significant improvement over the stock lights.
And for those of you who have already decided that these lights are rubbish here are photos to prove my point.
The photos were taken with an I phone and really don't do justice to how bright these lights really are.

The bottom pic is just the spots,
The middle pic is the spots and stock headlight on low beam,
The top pic is the spots and stock headlight on high beam,

So to summarise IMHO they are well worth the money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, I'm sure you can spend (lots) more money and get something better if you have pots of cash but I'm very happy with them and they will be staying on my bike.
Others on this thread/ forum will disagree with me but you can't argue with the evidence.

Not yet but I am going to remove them very soon as it's far too easy to accidentally select the annoying strobe mode, still waiting for my nice bar mounted switch too so they are permanently on with the ignition switch at the moment.
