Just thought I'd let you know that I have succeeded in repairing my heated grips and replacing the tired old worn rubber grips 
Thanks to the thread on here ref replacing the grips, I finally took the plunge and gave it a go.
Don't know how long the fix will work but it's ok at the moment.
There was a little snick in the wire which I have now joined back together.
Can't wait for a ride out in the cold to try em out
PS I had to use wifes posh hairspray to lube the grip so I could push it on, she's not too pleased that I didn't buy cheap stuff, but it worked a treat
