Now that it is getting a bit chilly in the mornings and when needing the grips the left hand side is not working, anybody know how easy they are to replace or is there anything that can be repaired in there? Any idea on cost before going to the dealer?

TIA

They are a doddle to replace. You will need to undo the handguard and bar end weight with a bix torx socket and breaker bar, and undo the switchgear. The wiring is a tiny electrical plug inside the switchgear, and the handgrip is held inplace by a small torx screw IIRC.

When my bike was new it had no heated grips, so I bought the parts and retrofitted them then got the dealer to 'update' the CANBUS software to enable them.

Interesting, I didn't know that was possible.

Where does the connect attach to the grip itself?
